Wheel thrown, carved, then decorated with a variety of food safe glazes. The black matte glaze on the bottom makes the cobalt blue stand out under the layered glazes on the top half. Ships next day via USPS Priority 2-3 day delivery within the U.S. (Ships First Class for International, shipping upgrades available at checkout) DETAILS: Food safe, dishwasher safe, microwave safe Holds approx. 12 oz. 4 1/2 inches tall 4 inches across the mouth HOW IT'S MADE - Wheel-thrown on the potter's wheel - Individually glazed, making each one unique and wonderful in it's own way - Kiln fired 2x - Once for it's bisque fire, Second for it's glaze fire (2,232 degrees fahrenheit) - Each piece has a hand carved & signed foot WHAT IT'S NOT - Not made with molds - Not mass-produced ware - Not stove-top safe (or any direct heat/flame) UNIQUE Slight imperfections are a part of handmade pottery and add character to the wares I make. This is something that you cannot find in lifeless, factory made ceramic ware - but you knew that already, and that is why you are here! GREAT GIFTS Not only do these make great one of a kind gifts, but you're also supporting Handmade in the U.S.A. and helping a small business and artists! LEAD-FREE GLAZES I use only lead-free glazes and non-toxic clay. The clay that's used to make your mug is certified 100% non-toxic, and is made from raw materials from the USA. MADE TO BE USED Because my pottery is fired to such a high temperature making the pieces food-safe, microwave-safe, oven-safe, and dishwasher-safe. No special handling required! The only thing to avoid with all ceramic or glassware is moving the pieces from one extreme temperature to another, such as moving a casserole dish from the fridge to a pre-heated oven. This thermal-shock can cause items to crack, so please take the time to allow things to warm up or cool down slowly.
